    Essential Duties

    The Data Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity of patient data flow from original recording devices in the field to the server in the corporate office utilizing remote control software.  Oversee all aspects of data transfer.  Ensure security of Private Health Information (PHI): both data and documents.  Track daily workflow to validate that all required data is transmitted and received.

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure the integrity and transport of patient data flow from field recording devices to server
    • Monitor processes to ensure they are being completed correctly and in a timely manner: escalate exceptions
    • Communicate closely with Technicians in the field via telephone and group messaging regarding data transfers
    • Manage and secure patient PHI paperwork
    • Manage and secure PHI data on all remote computers
    • Identify and report technical issues to IT Department for resolution
    • Maintain data between active server and archive server
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Robust computer skills, with the ability to organize and move information between folders, files and drive
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically, Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems
    • Able to learn new software applications with minimal instruction
    • Able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direct supervision
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
