    Essential Duties

    The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the Company, to include maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the Company's reported financial results, in order to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and international finance principles. 

    • Create and maintain a documented system of accounting policies & procedures and documented journal entries
    • Ensure that accounting practices are in full compliance with GAAP
    • Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, including the design of an organizational structure, supervision of the Accounting Department and supervision of payroll processes
    • Oversee all financial projects and accounting compliance requirements
    • Prepare and publish operating and monthly internal financial statements, including journal entires and financial variances
    • Ensure accounts payable, bank reconciliations, debt payments, accounts receivable collections and all related balance sheet reconciliations are resolved in a timely manner
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reporting and forecasts
    • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
    • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for annual audit review
    • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
    • Compliance with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    • Oversee preparation and review a by third party tax accounting firm of state and federal tax filings, payments, and estimated payments.  Ensure tax notices are resolved in a timely manner and by the due date using either internal resources or third-party accountants.
    • Oversee in addition to accounting for the parent company, the accounting for its domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Bachelor’s Degree is required.  
    • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
    • CPA or CMA is required
    • 10+ years of combined experience in Accounting & Finance
    • 5+ years in a supervisory role

    General Job Requirements

    • Healthcare experience a plus
    • Strong proficiency in  Excel is required
    • Experience with MS Dynamics is strongly preferred
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and discuss data in a way that supports decision making
    • Superior knowledge of GAAP
    • Ability to surface, examine and resolve competing priorities from different individuals or functional groups
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and quick changing environment
    • Detailed, process oriented and highly organized
    • Strategic skills with the ability to balance long-term objectives with day-to-day tactical realities
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Capacity to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple project-based assignments in parallel
