    Essential Duties

    The Patient Clinical Coordinator (PCC) will ensure medical documents meet payer guidelines for diagnostic services ordered.  PCC will also serve as a the primary point of contact for outside sales team regarding status of pending patients.


    SCHEDULE: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Interpret medical documents and ensure ICD-10 codes and patient symptoms meet payer guidelines that justify medical necessity.
    • Maintain communication with outside sales team regarding the status of patients awaiting approval
    • Manage and improve upon current systems to ensure patients are processed efficiently
    • Interpret and communicate changes in payer guidelines
    • Protect the fiscal and clinical performance of AFC by reviewing all physician orders for completeness and accuracy and ensure the patient meets referral criteria
    • Perform computer data entry and retrieval
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    General Job Requirements


    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
    • One year experience in medical office, diagnostic service provider, or similar required
    • One year of customer service experience is required


    • Previous experience in EMR systems is preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to pay a high level of attention to detail
    • Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task
