    Job Overview:

    Responsible for the oversight of all Sales learning programs.  Also responsible for the hiring and development of Field Sales Trainers and Sales Trainer.  Create, develop and deploy training curriculum that meet the needs of a dynamic Sales organization, ensuring that the Medical Sales Representatives expand both their clinical and sales acumen.

    Essential Duties

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Vice President, Sales to develop both strategic and tactical Sales training initiatives to deploy to the field Sales organization
    • Oversee the creation and facilitation of training curriculum and other educational initiatives
    • Strategically and tactically evaluate and prioritize training needs, planning, resource allocation and the design of training programs
    • Explore trends, innovations, technology and applications within the training industry to recommend and implement
    • Conduct ongoing evaluation of Sales training programs/materials related to the performance, overall effectiveness and impact on the team
    • Conduct field visits to assess evolving training/educational needs
    • Hire, train, supervise and develop a team of Field Sales Trainers
    • Ensure strong linkage of training programs to overall business initiatives and sales goals
    • Work in collaboration with other departments to ensure strategic alignment, define learning objectives and accuracy of Sales training content
    • Foster creativity and ensure that curriculum delivery leverages learning technology and balances independent, virtual and in-class training
    • Lead initiatives for the training of the Sales team that will develop the competencies and skills required to achieve strategic objectives and desired business outcomes
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    General Job Requirements


    • Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA preferred
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience of sales training experience
    • Prior medical sales experience strongly preferred





    • Demonstrated knowledge of the end-to-end learning process
    • Proven knowledge of adult learning practices and various delivery methods
    • Superior facilitation skills
    • Track record of project management skills
    • Ability to stay abreast of emerging trends in education/training methodology
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with competing priorities
    • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Superior organizational skills
    • Ability to adjust priorities as circumstances dictate
    • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
