    Essential Duties

    Responsible for providing general administrative support to Corporate/Billing Attorney.  Duties will include reviewing and preparing audits received or sent to Payors, submitting patient documents to Payors and facilitating communication to and from Payors.  Also responsible for assisting Attorney with creating and implementing new policies and procedures.

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative support to the onsite Corporate/Billing Attorney by reviewing and preparing audits received from or sent to Payors
    • Participate in gathering, organizing, summarizing, scanning and submitting the appropriate patient documents to Payors via online portals, mail and/or other secure methods
    • Articulate the findings from the initial review of clinical documents, billing records and other administrative documentation in preparation of drafting/preparing audit charts
    • Analyze and draft audit charts summarizing details captured in the initial review of the clinical documents, billing records and other administrative documentation
    • Direct and facilitate outside communication to/from Payors
    • Facilitate appropriate and effective communication between in-house departments
    • Assist Corporate/Billing Attorney with drafting/implementation of new or updated policies and procedures related to billing and coding
    • Assist the Legal Department with review and preparation of medical and billing records requests/subpoenas from outside sources
    • Create binders for various compliance/legal needs
    • Responsible for legal mailings
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    General Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 
    • 3 + years’  experience in corporate/firm legal setting 
    • Minimum 1 year experience as Administrative Assistant, supporting Senior Leadership
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive “can do” attitude
    • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects with competing priorities
    • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Superior attention to detail in composing and proofing materials
    • Must possess strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Excellent proof-reading and documentation skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
