    Essential Duties

    The Correspondence Coordinator is responsible for completing member and provider letters for the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Department within mandated timeframes, opening incoming correspondence and financial statements from all sources and confirming all mail has been received.  Also responsible for contacting insurance companies, physicians and other business partners to obtain correspondence or EOBs necessary for the business.

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Complete member and provider letters for RCM
    • Open incoming correspondence and financial statements from all sources, and confirm all mail has been received
    • Scan all correspondence into the patient accounting system
    • Ensure all inquiries are routed to the appropriate area for follow up
    • Initiate follow up with clinical staff and other business partners to obtain correspondence or EOBs necessary for the business, or when clarification is required
    • Identify the appropriate letter template and transcribe information from messages onto the template
    • Generate final letter and mails or transmits electronically, as appropriate
    • Collaborate with supervisor to identify and implement process improvements
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    General Job Requirements


    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in general clerical duties, preferably in insurance or medical office


    • Superior written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
    • Outstanding customer service orientation
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work within strict time lines
