    Essential Duties

    The EEG Monitoring Technician remotely maintains the integrity of the electroencephalograph (EEG) data & equipment and, troubleshoots any problems that may occur for the duration of the study.

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Operates independently in a home based or office setting using remote PC access and a cell phone to monitor EEG studies in progress
    • Communicates with the patient to identify and troubleshoot any technical issues during the duration of the EEG study
    • Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
    • Communicates clearly and effectively with team members in written form regarding problems with patients or diagnostic equipment
    • Handles high patient volumes effectively
    • Dispatches technicians to patient homes when appropriate and, remains calm in emergent situations

    General Job Requirements

    • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
    • Must be able to provide proof of current ABRET R.EEG.T. credentials and be in good standing
    • 3 years of clinical EEG experience is required
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
    • Must be computer literate and have intermediate knowledge of Windows Software
    • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
    • Works well under high-pressure situations
    • Very strong organizational ability
    • Logical problem solving ability
    • Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed and weekend rotation is required
    • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
