    Essential Duties

    The Senior Accountant works in conjunction with the Controller and Assistant Controller to perform varied accounting responsibilities including day-to-day accounting activity, monthly close, financial reporting and account reconciliations, and a review of accounts payable, general ledger activity and payroll transactions.

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Prepare daily bank deposits and distribute deposit batches to posters
    • Maintain daily deposit log for Accounts Receivable team
    • Prepare and distribute daily cash status report
    • Prepare monthly financial reports for Telemedx
    • Prepare monthly billing and accounts payable for Telemedx
    • Assist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close calendar
    • Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded on a monthly basis
    • Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
    • Assist in performing monthly closing activities
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
    • Reconcile credit card accounts on monthly basis
    • Responsible for coding and entering American Express journal entries twice monthly
    • Responsible for processing vendor sanctioning for compliance
    • Review expenses in Concur for approved level payment
    • Prepare employee expense reimbursements schedule for Payroll Supervisor
    • Assist in processing monthly doctor payables
    • Serve as backup support to Payroll Supervisor in reviewing and processing Payroll
    • Maintain W-9 information in Accounting system
    • Assist in year end 1099 processing
    • Handle special projects as assigned
    • Assist with financial and tax audits
    • Respond to corporate tax notices and coordinate with audit team in a timely manner

    General Job Requirements

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
    • 3 to 5 years accounting experience
    • Advanced Excel knowledge

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred
    • Highly detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
    • Strong understanding of accounting theory (GAAP)
    • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
    • Ability to act and operate independently, with minimal supervision
    • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Dynamics and Quickbooks
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with competing priorities
