    Essential Duties

    The Paralegal is responsible for assisting the General Counsel with all duties associated with the office of General Counsel. Responsible for assisting with contracts, leases, conducting research, compliance and other transactional legal matters.

    General Job Responsibilities

    • Research issues in the following areas: transactional, employment, litigation, healthcare, compliance, contracts, leases
    • Work with regulatory authorities to update and maintain company entities
    • Organize and maintain entity books and records
    • Summarize depositions and discovery done by outside counsel
    • Work with various departments to obtain information for specific legal projects
    • Transmission of legal documents for filing with regulating authorities
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    General Job Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with 1 year of corporate law, supporting an attorney(s)
    • Advanced knowledge of computer data entry, particularly in Microsoft Excel and a strong ability to navigate through any business related software
    • Advanced ability to use a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and Internet, and databases, with experience using Westlaw
    • Ability to take accurate notes and to produce written communications effectively
    • Ability to proof read documents and make grammatical corrections
    • Strong skill in managing details with speed and accuracy
    • Ability to use a high degree of discretion in sensitive situations
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Excellent skills in managing electronic and paper files
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks witih competing priorities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Paralegal certification from an accredited Paralegal Studies program
