Essential Duties

The Reporting Clerk is responsible for the maintenance, accuracy, compliance, and reporting of patient medical records.

General Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for insuring medical documentation is complete and accurate through communication with patient and physician offices
  • Interacts and provides assistance to patients, administrative staff and physicians regarding medicalrecords
  • Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company practices
  • Searches patient records via an EMR system to compose reports, including electronic searches to retrieve and summarize medical data
  • Selects and condenses information from health records and prepares correspondence, typically using standard reporting techniques
  • Provides outstanding customer service while processing incoming requests to the facility for release of information and records

General Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Higher level skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required
  • Previous experience with patient EMR systems is preferred
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Physicians, Administrative staff and C-Level Executives
