A Day in the Life:

  • Provide amazing customer service when making outbound calls
  • Meet daily quota of a minimum of 35 accounts per day
  • High outgoing call volume to insurance carriers
  • Utilizing online insurance resources to check claim status and file appeals
  • Review medical records for medical necessity
  • Review EOB’s to determine reasoning of denial codes
  • Daily review of insurance guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Make note of trends and communicate them to fellow co-workers and management
  • Minimal patient collections
  • Other cool stuff

General Job Requirements

Description of You:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of Medical Third Party Collections experience
  • 2+ years knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology a MUST
  • Training or background in ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
  • Knowledge of insurance rules and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • Proficiency in claim review and appeals
  • Strong communication so you can work with your team on problem solving and analytical skills
  • Work independently with that self-drive of yours and adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Must have attention to detail with an eye for acuracy…did you see that ‘accuracy’ was misspelled?
  • CPT Certification a plus
  • Neurology background a plus
  • Familiar with Brightree Software System a plus
